Self Advocacy in Action is a local advocacy group for people with learning disabilities, which is supported by local co-operative, Just Services Limited. At the beginning of August, a Crowdfunder campaign was launched by the group to raise funds to enable Self Advocacy in Action to continue to provide their invaluable services and support to the local community. Please see below for a statement released by the group and details of how you can donate to the campaign.
Self Advocacy in Action takes pride in enabling people with learning disabilities to be more independent and to have more control in their lives. To continue to do this we need your help.
We are asking people to donate towards our running and project costs to allow us to continue to support people with learning disabilities to have more choice and control in their lives. We support people through self advocacy sessions, independence training, activities and much more…
Crowdfunder is a tool for fundraising for voluntary and community organisations. It helps community groups, charities and social enterprises to raise funds from the community around them.
To find out more about how we will use these funds or to donate, please visit Self Advocacy in Action’s profile on Crowdfunder.
We have created a profile on Crowdfunder which will tell you more about Self Advocacy in Action, the work we do and what we propose to do with the monies raised. Our profile is active for 5 weeks from 31st July 2015.
