As we mentioned in an earlier blog post, Leicester-based social enterprise, Earth Buds, was nominated within the sustainability category for the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Awards 2015.
The awards are one of the most prestigious events that take place each year on the Birmingham business calendar and provides a platform to showcase the achievements and successes of businesses across the Midlands. Over a thousand people attend the event each year, making it not only a fantastic celebration of business success, but also an invaluable networking opportunity.
As a finalist who had been shortlisted for an award within the sustainabilty category for their work promoting sustainable, healthy eating within schools across Leicestershire and their recent move into schools within Birmingham, Earth Buds were invited to the black-tie event to celebrate with likeminded businesses.
As you can see from the picture above, taken from the finalist’s brochure on the night, Earth Buds were up against some very big competitors. Unfazed, Earth Buds used the evening to make new connections and promote the new Cook and Create programme that they were introducing into schools across Birmingham.
Network Rail took home the award for their work on the development of New Street station, with Earth Buds were highly commended in the category. CASE are delighted at Earth Buds’ success and look forward to seeing Bina and Earth Buds collect more awards to add to their already impressive collection!
