Voting for the Board is online or by post next Monday 13th April 2015
(If you have already registered a member you know may appreciate this)
Please make a note to vote and support the ethical, social and democratic traditions that the movement represents.
Central England (including Midland or Anglia) Co-op members who have already registered their email address on the Society’s website will automatically receive an email from Electoral Reform Services giving full details of the online election and voting procedure. Voting ends on Monday 27th April. Previous Postal voters will also get a postal invitation to vote.
Any member who has not registered their email address with Central England Co-op, or is unsure if they have, can register online with their white/gold membership card at www.members.coop
Any member with a Midlands or Anglia Gold/White Members Card can register online or request a postal voting pack by calling the membership helpdesk on 0800 050 1601 during office hours by giving their card number (Central England, Midland or Anglia, not Co-operative Group). Incidentally this is not the Co-op Party, but the trading Co-operative.
Further details about these arrangements available are online at www.members.coop/elections with a link to candidates’ details.
This year four Board members will be elected, one from west, east and central areas and one employee. Voters will receive a clear statement from each candidate. And can vote for one from each area.
In parallel with this election you may have heard about the KEEP IT COOP, campaign. This is a campaign run largely by Co-op Party members to defend the Co-op Group’s support for the Co-op and Labour Parties at their May AGM. Your card will tell you which society you belong to: either the Anglia/Midlands Central England society or the Manchester based Co-operative Group (or maybe you have a card for both). Please see www.keepit.coop for full details and take part if you have Co-operative Group membership as well.
There is much at stake in the Co-operative Movement at present so please use your influence and vote in your co-operative election.
