Go Travel Solutions, the specialist sustainable transport consultancy, has announced that CASE, the Leicester-based co-operative and social enterprise development agency, has become the 50th member of its successful Smarter Travel Leicester programme.
Smarter Travel Leicester is a programme to assist employers based in and around Leicester introduce and develop sustainable travel initiatives. It provides advice, discounts and resources to help employers from private, public and 3rd sectors help make sustainable travel cheaper and easier for the benefit of employers and their staff.
Following the signing of CASE, the scheme now has 50 employer members across Leicestershire with 71,000 staff including De Montfort University, E.ON, Highcross, John Lewis, Leicester City Council, Leicester College, Pick Everard, University Hospitals of Leicester and University of Leicester.

Smarter Travel Leicester is endorsed by local employers, public bodies and travel service providers and 4,500 public transport season tickets have been sold since it launched in 2008. The scheme is sponsored by Arriva, East Midlands Trains, Fit 4 Business and Highcross, and operates in partnership with Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce. It is also supported by Centrebus, First, Groundwork, Hammerson, Leicestershire Business Voice, National Business Travel Network, PowaStation, Reach Marketing, RSM Tenon and Unitycomm.
