Thursday 7th April marks World Health Day for 2011.
Each year, the World Health Organisation (WHO) choose a different theme to raise awareness of a specific issue related to health matters.
WHO have set the slogan for 2011 as “Anti-biotic resistance: No action today, no cure tomorrow”.
This year aims to encourage medical practitioners to question whether it is necessary to issue prescriptions for antibiotics for patients when an alternative could be used.
A wide range of alternative medicine, as well as advice from certified practitioners of alternative and complementary therapies are readily available on the high street.
